Wine description: From the exceptional terroir of the great Saint Estephe 2nd Classified Growth, Château Montrose and made in the château’s winery, Saint-Estèphe de Montrose is the estate’s third wine, blended from wines from younger vines and lees wines. Previously available only to the estate’s owners and employees, it meets the same uncompromising quality standards as Château Montrose and La Dame de Montrose. Produced from 55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine displays rich blackberry and black cherries with notes of hazelnut on the nose. In the mouth the wine is medium to full bodied with ripe dark fruits, smooth tannins and a wonderful freshness.
